Kim Min-seon (24, Uijeongbu City Hall), who has been reborn as the ‘God Empress’, broke the living legend Lee Sang-hwa’s record two days in a row at the National Winter Sports Festival.
Kim Min-seon won the women’s 1000m speed skating general section at the 104th National Winter Games held at the Taereung International Skating Rink in Seoul on the 28th with a new competition record of 1:16:35. This record was 2.08 seconds faster than the record of 1:18:43 recorded by Lee Sang-hwa in the 94th competition in 2013.
Kim Min-seon also took first place in the women’s 500m the previous day with a time of 37.90, exceeding her previous record held by Lee Sang-hwa (38.10). She even proved her ‘post-idealization’ modifier by reaching the top with her new record in the 1000m.
His talent is exploding this season. He drew attention by winning the women’s 500m in the 1st to 4th competitions of the International Skating Union (ISU) World Cup. He once recorded his personal best of 36.96 in the 4th competition. She also won three gold medals (women’s 500m, women’s 1000m, mixed relay) at the 31st Winter Universiade held in Lake Placid, New York, USA this month.
