(MHN Sports) Bae Ji-hwan continued his tremendous performance with a game-winning hit.
Bae went 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBIs and two stolen bases in the sixth spot in the batting order against the St. Louis Cardinals at PNC Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on Friday (June 5).
On the day, Bae led off the first inning with a double and scored the game-winning run for Pittsburgh. He continued to make his presence felt after pinch-hitting and scoring the game-winning run the day before.
Bae stepped to the plate with 메이저놀이터 the bases loaded and two outs in the first inning and crushed a four-pitch fastball from St. Louis starter Miles Mikolas for a two-run double to center field.
On the next pitch, Bae stole second. He stole second base off Rodolfo Castro, his first stolen base in seven games since March 28 against the Seattle Mariners.

With the multi-steal game, Bae moved into a tie for second place in the league in stolen bases with Sterling Marte (New York Mets-17) behind National League stolen base leader Ronald Acuña Jr. (Atlanta Braves-24).
However, he was unable to capitalize as the next two batters were stranded at second and third base.
In his final at-bat in the eighth inning, Bae grounded out to shortstop.
Bae’s season batting average rose to 0.274 from 0.268. In his last seven games, he is batting .304 with seven home runs and a .724 OPS.
Meanwhile, Pittsburgh was able to hold on for a 2-1 victory despite giving up a run in the top of the seventh inning to St. Louis’ Kidner.
St. Louis Korean-American Tommy Edmon also batted in the leadoff spot, going 2-for-3 with a double and a walk to raise his season average to .259.
With the win, Pittsburgh extended its winning streak to five games and remained in second place in the National League Central with a season record of 31-27, half a game behind the first-place Milwaukee Brewers (32-27).
St. Louis, meanwhile, remains at the bottom of the division with a 25-35 record.
