The Korean baseball team of the 2023 World Baseball Classic (WBC), led by coach Lee Kang-cheol (kt wiz), will take its first steps on the 16th.

Coaches including coach Lee Kang-cheol and the WBC national team players who were named in the final entry of 30 will gather at the Rivera Hotel in Seoul on the 16th for a preliminary call and orientation event.

On the way back to Korea on the 9th, coach Lee Kang-cheol said, “We decided to meet and talk with the players on the 16th.”

After the convocation event, the national team players return to individual training and participate in each team’s spring camp starting in February.

The WBC national team spring camp will be held at the Kino Sports Complex in Tucson, Arizona, from February 13 to 28.

Afterwards, the national team will return to Korea on March 1st, complete domestic training at Gocheok Dome in Seoul until March 3rd, and move to Osaka, Japan on March 4th.

On March 6th, Orix Buffaloes in Japan, and on the 7th, there will be practice matches against Hanshin Tigers at Osaka Dome in Japan.

On March 9th at the Tokyo Dome in Japan, Korea will play against Australia in the first round of the WBC final round, Group B, and then face Japan, Czech Republic and China in turn.
