Cody Clemens traded from Detroit to Philadelphia

The Major League Baseball (MLB) Philadelphia Phillies traded with the Detroit Tigers for the son of Roger Clemens.

ESPN of the United States said on the 8th (Korean time), “Philadelphia brought Cody Clemens (27) and Gregory Soto (28) from Detroit.”

Through this trade, Philadelphia will give outfielder Matt Bearing (27), utility player Nick Maton (26) and catcher Donnie Sands (27) to Detroit.

Clemens is the youngest son of seven-time Cy Young Award winner Roger Clemens. He was selected by Detroit in the third round, 79th overall, in the 2018 draft and made his big league debut last year.

However, his son did not stand out as much as his father, and played 56 games last year with a batting average of 0.145. In the end, Clemens was looking for a new opportunity in Philadelphia in the 2023 season. 토토

Soto, who changes his uniform with Clemens, is a left-handed bullpen pitcher who throws a fastball. He pitched in 64 games last year and recorded 2-11, 30 saves, and an ERA of 3.28. Philadelphia has succeeded in strengthening its bullpen with the signing of Soto.
